Chorion has inked a deal with Posh Paws to produce an exclusive range of collectable plush for Mr. Men and Little Miss. The collection will launch later this year as part of the brand’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

The initial product lines, currently in development for the gift and speciality markets, will include beanie toys for a broad range of the characters including Mr Bump, Mr Naughty, Mr Tickle and Little Miss Sunshine.

Large versions of Mr. Tickle and Little Miss Naughty will also be available, along with a giggling Mr. Tickle.

The plush toys will launch in August/September 2011 and will be followed by the separate introduction of Little Miss Princess, a brand new character also launching this year as part of the 40th anniversary, in time for the Christmas season. Other characters will follow in 2012.

Bettina Koeckler, SVP licensing EMEA, Chorion, said: “We’re excited to be working with Posh Paws in Mr. Men’s 40th anniversary year. Their new line will be available through all channels of distributions to fully satisfy Mr. Men fans of all ages, be they kids, teens, gifters or grown-ups.

“Plush is a hugely important part of the Mr. Men licensing programme and this new launch will be supported by a number of promotional offers at retail.”

The Mr. Men brand began in 1971, when six of the world’s most iconic books were first published: Mr Tickle, Mr Bump, Mr Greedy, Mr Happy, Mr Nosey and Mr Sneeze. More news about the 40th anniversary celebrations will follow soon.
