Character Options has signed up as pitch partner for this year's Inventors Workshop.

The firm will be involved in the pitching sessions at this year's event, giving both new and seasoned inventors the chance to present toy ideas directly to Character Options.

"Character Options has a strong inventors network where we look for and source concepts that have the potential to become new stand-alone toys and toy brands, or in some cases, can be incorporated into our licensing programme," said Jon Elliott, R&D operations manager.

"This event, however, gives us the opportunity to grow our community further. As a team we really enjoyed last year’s event; the pitching process ran very smoothly and we were presented with some really innovative product concepts. The inventors themselves where very enthusiastic and passionate and we have remained in contact with many of them.

"We are therefore greatly looking forward to this year's event and would like to offer our thanks to ToyNews for creating a stage where inventors and members of the UK toy industry can meet and share ideas and build long lasting relationships."

This year’s Inventors Workshop will be at held at Whittlebury Hall in Northampton on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016.

The event is set to bring together leading inventors, distributors, retailers, investors and design students, all of whom are looking to discover new ideas, make new connections and stay at the forefront of innovation in toys.

What to expect from this year's Inventors Workshop

Last year’s Workshop helped unite the UK’s toy and game inventor community and gave them a rare chance to pitch their ideas to some of the world’s biggest companies face to face. Well, we’re doing it again, and this time it’s all set to bigger and better. Billy Langsworthy reveals what’s in store this year.
