A new range of Fisher-Price Peppa Pig toys will hit US shelves this August exclusively in Toys R Us.

The toys include tea sets, talking plushes, schoolhouse and tree house playsets, figures, a Peek ‘n Surprise playhouse and more.

Toys R Us will promote the line in stores and will collaborate with Entertainment One on a range of other marketing activities.

It’s the first time Peppa Pig toys have gone on sale in the US. In the UK the Peppa toys are produced by Character Options.

Entertainment One’s head of global licensing Andrew Carley said: “We have a strong line-up of partners poised to launch Peppa Pig merchandise in the US this August and will be working closely with them all on a co-ordinated strategy.

“Toys R Us is the toy authority and one of America’s top retail destinations for families and kids. Its vast network of stores will be a fantastic showcase for the brand at launch.”

Toys R Us’ US senior VP and general merchandising manager Lisa Harnisch added: “With the exclusive launch of Peppa Pig products at Toys R Us, we’re excited to offer this kid-favorite property to customers through adorable playthings now making their way to our store shelves.”

ToyNews reported last year that Fisher-Price would become the first licensing partner for Peppa Pig in the US

The Peppa Pig cartoon first aired in the UK in 2004. It hit US TV screens last year on Nick Jr.
