Orchard Toys' Free Parts and Replacement Service raises public praise following national media coverage

Orchard Toys’ Free Parts and Replacement Service has been publicly praised by social media users for the firm’s ethical values to reduce waste.

Following national coverage in The Metro, the concept has taken social media by storm, with customers flocking to commend the company on its good practice as well as commitment to customer service.

The games and jigsaws manufacturer has offered to replace missing game parts for a number of years, a free service that also raises money for its nominated local charity, EACH (East Anglian Children’s Hospice).

Customers can request up to three missing games pieces via an online form. On receipt of their free of charge pieces, they are invited to make a donation to the charity via the company’s Justgiving page. In the last two years, the campaign has raised over £3,000 for EACH.

Marketing manager, Ali Brown, said: “We are delighted with the enthusiastic feedback we are receiving about the service and Orchard Toys as a whole, it’s simply a win-win for us.

“We are increasing brand loyalty by satisfying our customers, we are reducing waste and raising money for an amazing and very worthwhile local charity. As a result of the social media activity, we have seen a 50 per cent increase in Facebook followers and a phenomenal response in comments, likes and shares.”

Speech and language therapist, Rebecca O’Hara works with Orchard Toys’ products on a day to day basis. She said via the firm’s Facebook page: “The children love them and find them motivating.

“Your staff are prompt at replying to emails if I have any questions about a product – they have recently offered to replace a missing piece of one of my games for free and I am so impressed. This means I can continue to use the game at work.”

Orchard Toys has been manufacturing educational games and jigsaws in Britain for over 40 years. The brand and distribution continue to grow with 2017/18 end of year figures reporting the company’s best year yet.
