Japanese toy company Takara Tomy has partnered with Sony to create an Optimus Prime that transforms into a PlayStation One.

The recent announcement follows the transforming Megatron Mega Drive, which is due for release later this year.

The firm’s website reveals that it now plans to create a series of bots with the ability to morph into a PlayStation Two, Three and Four as well as a PS One.

The partnership has been developed in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the PlayStation next year, reports CVG.
