Online voucher site PromotionalCodes.org.uk has seen a 300 per cent increase in searches related to Frozen products.

The number of Frozen searches has steadily been on the rise in the last three weeks and the last seven days have seen a 300 per cent increase in searches from the previous week.

“In the run up to Christmas searches for Frozen related items has been steadily increasing," said Darren Williams of PromotionalCodes.org.uk.

"We have seen an increase within the last week of almost 300 per cent and I predict that will continue right up to Christmas Eve. Elsa and Olaf are the most popular search terms, although Anna is creeping up behind them, especially now parents have realised there’s little chance of getting their hands on the coveted Elsa merchandise. It’s amazing that a movie which came out over a year ago is still creating such a stir among children up and down the country.

“Parents are so desperate to make sure their little ones enjoy Christmas that they are going to extraordinary lengths to get hold of the merchandise. I’ve had shoppers to our site feedback to me that they’re trawling online auction sites in a bid to get hold of Elsa dresses and dolls and are prepared to pay way over the odds just to see the smile on their daughters face on Christmas morning.

“I don’t think there’s been a movie that’s created so much hype for some time, maybe Toy Story when it first came out and again when Toy Story 3 hit the screens. The hype surrounding Frozen is huge and from our experience looks like it will get even bigger as we get closer to Christmas.”
