Nuremberg 2018: Spielwarenmesse ToyAwards finalists revealed

The shortlist for this year's Spielwarenmesse ToyAwards finalists has been revealed, spanning Baby and Infant, Pre-school, School Kids and Teenager and Adult.

397 companies from across the world submitted 643 new products for the 2018 ToyAwards, a ceremony that will be held during the opening day of the show on January 30th.

‘For 15 years, the awards has been one of the most important recognitions in the industry, often seen by consumers as a crucial quality seal,’ said the show’s organisers via a press release.

Prior to the 69 Spielwarenmesse, an eleven-strong panel came together in Nuremberg to choose the best three products for each of the four age groups categories from all the submissions.

The panel judged all submissions based on the criteria of gaming fun, originality, finish and quality, safety, comprehensibility of product concept as well as potential success in the retail trade.

The nominees for the Toy Awards 2018, are:
