Novel Entertainment has agreed a deal with toy wholesaler H. Grossman for a range of toys based on the Horrid Henry brand.

Horrid Henry toys, scooters, bikes, skateboards and camping equipment will be created as part of the deal, as well as range of pocket money toys including whoopee cushions, yo-yos and bubble guns.

“We are delighted to have another unique character on board," said Martin Grossman, managing director at H. Grossman.

The launch of the range is planned for January's Toy Fair.

“H. Grossman is a fantastic licensing partner with a pedigree of quality brands, and we are looking forward to jointly launching the range of Horrid Henry toys for fans," said Mike Watts, Novel Entertainment CEO.

Elsewhere, the BAFTA-nominated Horrid Henry TV show is branching into other territories.

Distribution partner Zodiak Rights has ensured the show will be broadcast on Cartoon Network in Asia Pacific, ZDF in Germany, RTE in Eire, Mediacorp in Singapore, RUV in Iceland, NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland, RTP in Portugal, TVP1 in Poland, Iconix in Korea and Digiturk in Turkey.
