Tomy Europe will have a new EVP from April 1st, with Nicolai Lindhardt stepping into the role.

Lindhardt (pictured) will succeed Gary Hunter, who has successfully led the integration of the RC2 and Tomy businesses to form Tomy Europe.

Lindhardt has a wealth of experience in the toy business, having held key roles at various firms including Mattel.

"We are delighted to welcome Nicolai to the company," stated Greg Kilrea, president of Tomy International. "He brings with him a clear vision having had experience of a portfolio of premium global brand initiatives.

"His gravitas and business acumen will support our objective to increase overall performance and firmly secure our place as the world's fourth largest toy company."

Tomy Europe is set for a busy 2013 - the year marks the launch of the group's first global licence, Pokémon, and negotiations for further major global opportunities are underway.
