Almost half of Brits (48 per cent) are looking forward to spending time with their family over Christmas, according to more research from Hasbro.
More females were looking forward to festive family time, with 53 per cent saying spending time with relatives was the best thing about Christmas.
Contrastingly, one in ten Britons said they were ‘feeling stressed’ over the prospect of spending time with relatives.
The Scots (15 per cent) feared their family most while the Welsh were the least anxious, with 5 per cent saying they were looking forward to spending time with the family.
Foye Pascoe, UK Country Manager at Hasbro said: “It’s great to see that the Great British public is looking forward to family time this Christmas. However, it’s very easy for the joy of seeing the family over Christmas to fade as the stress of keeping everyone entertained takes over. Your family should never be a worry but we seem to have forgotten the art of spending time with each other – family game time can be a perfect answer to this.
“People think that family games are just for Christmas – in fact our results show that nearly half of us play family games more than once a year – this is because they are a great way to spend time together, whatever the occasion or time of year. This year, Hasbro and Zynga have brought the hugely popular digital games Words With Friends and Draw Something to life with a new line of games – helping create festive family fun.”
