Moose Toys explores new animated content for Shopkins and Mutant Mania

Moose Toys is exploring the possibilities of bringing its popular toy lines, Shopkins and Mutant Mania to new platforms, including animated content.

The toy firm has teamed with children’s animated and live-action content producer, Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, to develop new content for the two brands.

Both companies have a successful history of working on toyetic kids brands, such as The Trash Pack and Beyblade.

“We are thrilled to partner with Moose Toys on tow of their most important new toy brands,” said Andrew Kerr, co-head of Nelvana Enterprises. “Moose Toys is a global leader in the generation of toy based IP and we are excited to explore the many ways that we can work together to drive the global success of these two new toy properties.”

Mutant Mania is a mix and match wrestling toy that combines wrestling with mutant characters for boys aged six to 11.

The line earned a spot on the Toys R Us Hot 20 list for Christmas 2014 in the US and will be available in 85 territories in 2015.

Meanwhile, Shopkins is a line of collectables for girls aged four to seven that feature mini shopping bags and baskets.
