A federal judge has set a date for Round two of the battle between toymaker rivals Mattel and MGA over ownership of Bratz.

US district judge David Carter ordered a 11th January trial date on Wednesday and has dismissed a motion by MGA to toss out Mattel's allegations of racketeering.

A federal jury awarded Mattel $100 million in 2008 and shifted ownership of Bratz dolls to Barbie-maker Mattel.

A federal appeals court overturned that ruling last month and indicated the need for a retrial.
