MGA seeks further damages from Mattel
The news follows Mattel's defeat in the Bratz ownership retrial, where the firm was ordered to pay MGA $88.5 million in damages.
In addition to the punitive damages, MGA is also moving to claim back the legal fees, which have built up over the seven-year legal battle. MGA boss, Isaac Larian has estimated that these total around $150 million.
In its filing, MGA asserted that: "Mattel waged war against MGA in this litigation, using every means available to a litigant to multiply the expense, burden, and business disruption," according to The NLJ.
