MGA bolsters sales team

Two new appointments will strengthen the UK sales division.

Tim Ives has been hired as head of sales and Sabine Dix joins as general sales manager.

Ives has been in the toy industry for seven years, with previous stints at Tomy. His responsibilities in his new role will include developing and achieving significant growth for MGA.

Ives commented: "I am really looking forward to joining such a dynamic team and working on iconic, market-leading brands such as Bratz, Lalaloopsy, Baby Annabell and Baby born.

"Joining the company provides me with a great opportunity to develop my career in the toy trade and further strengthen the MGA business in the UK."

Sabine Dix also joins MGA from Tomy. She has worked in the toy industry for nearly ten years and has gained a wealth of experience looking after a number of national and key accounts.

Her objective within her new role is to provide excellent and focused account management to deliver growth across her account portfolio.

She explained: "MGA has an impressive product range of fun, trendy and great quality products. I am very excited about working with the team here, representing and growing its fantastic brands under the MGA, Little Tikes and Zapf Creation portfolios."

Andrew Laughton, managing director at MGA Entertainment UK, added: "I am very happy to welcome two outstanding individuals to our team at such an exciting time in MGA and Zapf Creation’s history."
