Mega Brands launches first Bloktober campaign

Mega Brands is teaming up with a number of leading UK toy retailers and key parenting sites to launch an online campaign aimed at driving promotional savings across its hit pre-school range, Mega Bloks First Builders.

Bloktober features retailers such as Asda, Argos, Tesco, Toys R Us, Smyths, The Entertainer, Amazon and Shop Direct, all offering exclusive savings on Mega Bloks First Builders products throughout October.

Print and digital activity to support the campaign includes retail display adverts, website takeovers, online banners, Facebook and Twitter posts, e-shots and e-newsletters.

Mega Brands is also rolling out an online advertising plan that includes more than 30 targeted parenting websites, plus activity with Bounty and Ask a Mum.

"The idea behind Bloktober is to offer mums and dads exclusive savings on Mega Bloks First Builders products, while driving home the importance of building and construction for pre-schoolers ahed 12 months+," commented Pete Fuller, European marketing manager for Mega Brands.

"Branding the month of October is something that we will do year on year, if this campaign proves to be a success."
