Media man joins Hasbro Board

Media savvy Kenneth Bronfin has been elected to Hasbro?s Board of Directors.

Bronfin has been president of Hearst Interactive Media since 2002 and has overseen the firm’s operation of interactive businesses, investments in internet content and infrastructure companies as well as working with the firm’s other divisions to adapt its editorial and programming resources to new formats.

Prior to joining Hearst, Bronfin spent ten years at the National Broadcasting Company.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, an MBA in management and patents in the field of television technology.

Alan Hassenfeld, chairman of the Board said: “Ken Bronfin is a highly respected business leader with 22 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry and we are very pleased to have him join our Board.

“He is one of the key forces behind Hearst Corporation’s transformation from a traditional media company to an interactive media leader. Ken’s appointment comes at a very exciting time in our history when we are becoming a more media-driven company and providing consumers with unique and immersive ways to enjoy our world-class brand portfolio.”
