Mattel unveils Pictionary Facebook app

Firm launches game on social networking site as part of 25th anniversary celebrations.

The application has been created to stay as true to game play in the board game as possible, with players taking turns to draw clues against the clock.

Players will even guess the clue against the clock too as they will see the drawing appear in real-time on the screen, scoring more points the quicker they can guess the clue.

Gylla Lewis, senior brand manager, Mattel Games commented: "Pictionary lends itself perfectly to online play and for existing fans this application is a great, social way to enjoy the game between friends at any time, while also being a great opportunity to introduce new players who may not have tried the board game before."

The Facebook application has also been integrated into Mattel's new website, with visitors to the website able to see Facebook games in action.

The Pictionary Facebook application and support the recent launch of the new Pictionary family edition of the board game, which includes both adult and kids clue cards.
