Angry Birds Magic – a toy that can communicate with the iPad – adds brand new content to the original Angry Birds app.
The new £11.99 RRP licensed Apptivity product comes with a King Pig toy. When placed on an Apple iPad, it unlocks four extra ways to play the Angry Birds HD app.
These include King Pig mode, which turns pigs into eggs and birds into pigs, and Material Mix Up, where the pigs’ structures change around.
In Bird Frenzy, the player must launch as many birds at the pigs within a time limit, and in Total Destruction users must swipe the King Pig toy across the iPad’s screen to destroy constructions as fast possible.
Angry Birds Magic is part of Mattel’s Apptivity range which it launched earlier this week in London with a giant iPad.
Mattel said sales of its previous Angry Birds products ‘wildly’ exceeded expectations.
The company’s UK boss Geoff Walker told ToyNews: “I think this is massive. When you put the character on the iPad, it unlocks new levels.
“For the Angry Birds fan it’s going to be massive.”
