Mattel is to launch a line of Hot Wheels, Barbie and American Girl nabi tablets next month.
Each will boast digital content, experiences and accessories specific to each brand, including creating movies starring American Girl dolls, launching digital Hot Wheels tracks or putting together a Barbie comic strip.
“In launching these tablets we looked to give young fans of Barbie, Hot Wheels, and American Girl an incredible new way to get inside the worlds of their favorite toys and interact with them in exciting and different ways," said Jim Mitchell, general manager of Fuhu.
"Meanwhile, as always, we are glad to be able to provide parents with the peace of mind they have come to expect from the nabi brand.”
The Barbie tablet features dozens of Barbie-themed apps, games, and videos including apps that allows users to explore potential careers with Barbie, and create comics and watch the Barbie Spy Squad series.
The Hot Wheels tablet boasts videos that teach kids about the science of Hot Wheels cars and tracks such as resistance, friction and gravity. It also comes with a custom bumper and racing sound effects.
Finally, the American Girl tablet includes more than 70 apps, videos, and games featuring both American Girl characters and creative craft ideas.
All three tablets debut in the US in October for $79.99.
