Mattel has created a die-cast 1:64 scale version of NASA’s Curiosity rover.
The miniature is set to go on sale in Septepmber as part of Mattel’s latest Hot Wheels assortment.
Currently exploring Mars, NASA’s rover was launched eight months ago and landed safely in the red planet's Gale crater on Monday August 6th after a 352 million mile journey.

The $2.5 billion rover, which features a six-wheeled rocker-bogie system, has also been the subject of some Lego tributes.
The creative folks over at Lego Mindstorm have made a fully functional rover Curiosity from thousands of Lego and Lego Technic bricks...
Meanwhile, a Lego rover Curiosity has appeared on Cuusoo. If the model gets enough support Lego will consider making it into a real retail product.
