Mattel launches new Monster High 13 Wishes franchise

Mattel is adding more ghoulish strings to the bow of its Monster High brand with the new 13 Wishes franchise.

The new venture will comprise of a cinema release, DVD, video game and new doll line.

The 13 Wishes movie will grace VUE cinema screens on September 21st and 22nd before Universal brings it out on DVD.

The film stars Frankie Stein, Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura and Abbey Bominable as they set out to save Howleen and the soul of Monster High.

A Monster High 13 Wishes Doll Assortment will feature new characters Gigi Grant and Twyla who come to retail complete with unique pet, diary, brush, doll stand and character-specific accessories.

A video game will also be available, featuring 10 levels based on the film alongside a new storyline.

The 13 Wishes launch is another example of how the Monster High franchise continues to deliver fans multiple touch points and opportunities for brand engagement,” said senior brand manager Girls UK, Denise Fillary.

“It’s not just about a new DVD but it is about introducing new characters, themes and new opportunities to play out storylines in different ways that resonate with our fan base.”
