Mattel and Little, Brown Book Group have teamed with Newbery Honor and author Shannon Hale to launch a second Ever After High Novel.

Ever After High: The Unfairest of Them All follows the reported success of Hale's first Ever After High High title, The Story Book of Legends.

The new book follows the story of the aftermath of Legacy Day, the day when the students at Ever After High are supposed to pledge to follow in their fairy-tale parents' footsteps. Raven and Apple must bring the Royals and the Rebels together before the feud threatens to end all of their Happily Ever Afters.

Kate Agar, Commissioning, Editor, Little, Brown Book Group, said: “We’ve loved working with Mattel from the moment we joined forces on Monster High, and Ever After High has taken that relationship from strength to strength.

"Using dolls, books and digital content together has innovatively engaged our readers and we hope that with Mattel’s help we can continue to inspire them across all sorts of different platforms.”

Simta Sawhney, Publishing and Softlines Lead, Mattel UK, added: “We are very excited for the release of the second novel from the enchanting world of Ever After High. Little Brown is a leader in Young Readers publishing, with its great creative narrative and retail relationships.”

The book will be stocked at all good retailers, RRP £9.99.
