Pop diva Mariah Carey is making a return to the movies, lending her voice to the character of the mayor in planned The LEGO Batman Movie.
Sources close to Warner Bros.’ spinoff of The LEGO Movie have debunked the rumour that the songstress will be voicing Commissioner Gordon when they told the Hollywood Reporter that Carey will instead voice the mayor of Gotham.
The movie has already found its Alfred in Ralph Fiennes, its Batgirl in Rosario Dawson, Robin in Michael Cera and the Joker in Zach Galifianikis. Will Arnet, who voiced he caped crusader in the 2014 LEGO Movie will reprise his role.
Chris McKay, the animation supervisor on The LEGO Movie is directing the project with a script written by author-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith.
