PlayFusion has announced the full UK retail of Lightseekers, its new connected play experience, featuring a mobile/tablet game, action figures and trading card game.

Lightseekers, an action adventure RPG, is available now to download entirely free on the Apple Appstore, Google Play, and Amazon App Store. The FusionCore, the high-tech, powerful mini-computer embedded within each action figure and the “brains” behind the smart connected figures, completely eliminates the need for NFC portals, delivering real time 2-way interaction between TOMY’s 7” articulated smart action figures and the Lightseekers game.

The smart action figures, trading cards and accessories are available now in Toys R Us stores nationwide.

Lightseekers also offers interchangeable accessories that level up as you play. Equipping a weapon or accessory onto a smart action figure will have an immediate effect in the game and vice versa, opening up new abilities and adventures. In addition, flight packs can be added to any hero, allowing players to magically control their in-game character simply by moving their smart action figure.

“It has been an incredible journey with our partners at TOMY and Toys R Us as we all worked tirelessly to make Lightseekers a ground breaking reality,” said Mark Gerhard, CEO and co-founder of PlayFusion.

“Having the Lightseekers product available now at Toys R Us stores is the culmination of two and half years of hard work, but it’s just the beginning. We have many more exciting innovations coming over the next few months to Lightseekers, so get ready for the future of connected play.”
