A LEGO set based on The Wizard of Oz could soon be clicking its heels together and heading into homes around the world.

The project, by JeremiahKC, has made it the Review stage on LEGO CuuSoo after achieving 10,000 supporters.

LEGO The Road to Oz set recreates Dorothy's journey to see the Wizard complete with figures of the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and the Wicked Witch of the West.

"The road to Oz might be fraught with peril, but for you the road to 10,000 supporters was a breeze," commented LEGO CuuSoo.

"It's easy to see why Wizard of Oz fans fell in love with the way you captured such a beloved story in LEGO bricks. Nicely done."

Now a LEGO Review Board of designers, product managers, and other key team members will take a look at the idea.

Getting the Review stage is no guarantee of an idea hitting the shelves, as for every LEGO Back to the Future there's a LEGO Jurassic Park which recently failed this part of the process.
