The price of Lego Star Wars collectables have shot up as more dads head online to buy them at Christmas.

The Millennium Falcon Collectors toy is selling for as much as £2,995 on eBay at the moment, around 25 times its normal price, reports The Sun.

The £274.99 Death Star, £349.99 Super Star Destroyer and £149.99 R2D2, as well as the Falcon, are also apparently bought by dads in particular.

Sales rise by more than a third at Christmas as dads buy presents for their kids - and themselves.

Lego’s Justin Clasby said: "We’re seeing a huge surge in adult fans queuing up to get their own hands on the sets."
