Popular board game Settlers of Catan has undergone the LEGO treatment, thanks to the efforts of one LEGO Ideas user.

The fully playable brick version of the game has already secured over 5,000 supporters, with 258 days still remaining on the site, putting it well on its way to reaching the necessary 10,000.

Should the LEGO Settlers of Catan reach the goal, it will be taken forward to the Review stage, where it will go head-to-head with other popular projects for the chance to hit retailers.

And looking likely to meet it in the follow-up stages is the LEGO The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker set, created by videogamer and LEGO fan, Flailx.

Made up of 576 LEGO pieces, the set includes a dragon boat, an enemy warship to battle, an island setting featuring Chu-chu jellies and of course the hero, Link.

LEGO The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker already has 5,242 supporters and also has 258 days remaining on the clock.
