Lego Ninjago hits the App Store

The free iPhone game links fans to Lego products.
Publish date:

The gameplay of the new app, Lego Ninjago Spinjitzu Scavenger Hunt, is inspired by the Ninjago Spinner toys; players touch the screen to make their character spin rapidly, while tilting the iPhone to move and crash into opponents.

To incentivise product sales, players can unlock new gear for their in-game ninja by scanning Ninjago boxes to gain unique weapons and equipment.

The app is the latest development of Lego’s top intellectual property, which already spawned a TV film, an animated series in the works and a Nintendo DS game.

The app was developed by Lego Systems, who also made the recently released Minifigures app.
