LEGO Minifigures will outnumber humans by 2019

Online mathematical comic XKCD has predicted that by 2019, there will be more LEGO Minifigures populating the Earth than humans.

The tiny plastic people first came to being in 1978, and LEGO is reproducing the bite-size population at a such a rate that there will soon be more of them than real people.

LEGO was able to produce a massive four billion Minifigures by 2006, and the online comic predicts that will reach eight billion by 2019.

The site created a graph to back up their findings, which can be found below.
