LeapFrog has welcomed a new sales director for UK and Ireland.
In his new role, Damian Hall will now be responsible for providing strategic sales leadership and management to the UK and Ireland commercial operation, as Leapfrog continues its plans for international growth.
Hall has joined the firm from Proctor & Gamble, where he gained extensive management experience across sales, market strategy and in-store design and execution.
In his previous role a head of commercial strategy with Proctor and Gamble, Hall worked with brands including Hugo Boss, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana.
“Following 2014’s milestone launches of LeapTV, LeapBand and the addition of LeapPad3 and LeapPad Ultra XDi to our line of number tablets for children, 2015 is an important time to continue to innovate and an exciting year of celebrating our 20th anniversary,” said chief international officer, Tony Hicks.
“Damian is a terrific addition to our team, and his strong background will be essential to our efforts to deliver the best educational entertainment experiences for children which help them reach their full potential.”
Meanwhile, Hall is confident that his experience in the fragrance sector, will help him and LeapFrog achieve industry growth this year.
“The toy industry is really exciting and in many ways, very similar to fragrances; the high seasonality of the business, the power of fashion and innovation and the importance of execution in the eyes of the shoppers,” he said.
“I am confident my experience will help me as I quickly bring myself up to speed on the industry, the challenges and the opportunities we can unlock. I am very excited and proud to join LeapFrog and I am really looking forward to Toy Fair to meet retail partners and discuss how we can jointly grow our business.”
