Leapfrog unveils LeapPad launch details

Global online event will give away one LeapPad every hour for 32 hours.

Leapfrog's latest product, the tablet-style learning device, LeapPad Explorer will launch to the market on August 15th.

To mark the launch, Leapfrog is offering kids around the world the chance to win a full LeapPad Explorer package, complete with the LeapSchool Reading cartridge game and a download card.

The event will begin at midnight, when consumers will be invited to play an interactive online game, hosted on a LeapPad Explorer microsite. Those who complete the game will be notified on screen immediately if they have won. If unsuccessful, users can return to the site every hour to try again.

There will be a further chance to win if consumers share a link to the online event via Twitter or Facebook.

The launch of LeapPad Explorer will also be hosted at Hamleys, where shoppers will also have the opportunity to win a LeapPad Explorer every hour throughout August 15th. Further activity with the retailer includes a six-week LeapFrog window display at the front of the store.
