Leapfrog has launched its latest initiative in children’s education with a new collection of characters called the Learning Friends.
Aimed at kids aged two to five, the collection features 13 animal schools friends designed to help children prepare for their first days of school.
The Learning Friends range includes the Play & Discover School Set and the Adventure Bus, plus three animated short adventures and four Learning Friends apps, all of which can be downloaded to LeapFrog’s range of tablets.
The Play & Discover School Set features Tiger, Turtle and Monkey and five school activities with over 70 different stories, songs and phrases. The set retails for £24.99.
Meanwhile, Adventure Bus retails at £16.99 and sees Koala, Fox and Penguin share numerous adventures, activities and songs.
Completing the line-up, the Learning Friends videos follow Koala’s Fist Day, Hippo’s Show and Tell and Fox and Penguin Takes Turns, each designed to teach personal and social skills, helping kids as they begin preschool.
“Starting school is a major milestone and one that can be accompanied by sme anxiety, particularly since a child is often entering a new environment and being introduced to new routines,” said Dr. Jody Sherman LeVos, director at Leapfrog’s Learning Team.
“Children often need help feeling confident during this important transition and that is where the LeapFrog Learning friends can help them prepare through play.
“By seeing what Monkey, Turtle, Tiger and friends experience at school, including activities like circle time, story time and free play, children can build a framework for what to expect when going to school the first time, providing them with a positive experience from the start.”
LeapFrog’s Learning Friends collection is available online and at major retailers now.
