Tech toy firm Leapfrog has expanded its commercial team with the appointment of Gary Hughes as national account manager.

Hughes joins LeapFrog from Igloo Books, where he worked as a national account manager for major retailers in the UK and Ireland.

Prior to Igloo, Hughes held account and sales manager roles at Pedigree Books and Palmer and Harvey.

“It’s great to welcome Gary to the team – despite all the changes, the brand has had a great year and we are looking forward to a fantastic 2017,” said Sally Walker, UK MD of LeapFrog.

“Gary’s extensive experience means that he has already hit the ground running and is focused on the success of the LeapFrog brand.”

Hughes added: "I am delighted to now be a part of the team and I’m already deep into preview season. It’s so exciting and I’m really looking forward to partnering with our retail partners to grow our businesses and unlock new opportunities for LeapFrog."
