LeapFrog appoints games expert

Firm snags former Entertainment Arts? senior member.

LeapFrog has appointed the former senior development director for Entertainment Arts to the position of vice president, game development.

David Schwartz will be responsible for the development of technology and products for the Click Start, My First Computer manufacturer.

Schwartz has been involved in the video games industry since he was 11, when he programmed his first game. He has a degree in computer science and has worked with a number of video game development firms including WildTangent.

Meanwhile, Christopher Miller has been appointed as LeapFrog’s vice president of marketing, where he will be responsible for leading the firm’s brand marketing, advertising, public relations and packaging. He comes from Taco Bell Corporation where he was vice president of brand marketing.

Jeffrey Katz, president and CEO of LeapFrog said: "David and Chris are two excellent additions to the LeapFrog management team. As we continue to build our talent and expand our product offerings we believe that their gaming and brand expertise will help us deliver on our mission to create innovative educational products that make learning fun."
