John Crane urges toy firms to aid Operation Christmas Child

Company will provide bundles of toys for mummy blogger who is supporting the charity.

John Crane is helping disadvantaged kids by giving away stock to charity – and it wants other companies to get involved too.

John Crane Mummy Ambassador and blogger Joanne Dodd asked the firm for help, who is spending her spare time collecting toys to support the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal.

Last year she sent three shoeboxes full of toys, but wants to do even better this year. The charity – Samaritan’s Purse – sends out one million shoeboxes full of toys in total to disadvantaged kids across the globe.

John Crane is giving away ‘a large box of pocket money items’, and said it would like to point other toy companies towards Dodd’s charitable quest.

Helen Davis, John Crane Ltd Marketing Manager, said: “Joanne has put a lot of time and effort into helping promote John Crane Ltd and its brands across many social media platforms, and we were more than happy to reciprocate by sending her toys for this charity.”
