James Bond Skyfall Scalextric races to retail

Licensed version of Hornby Hobbies' racing toy hits shelves this October.

A James Bond Scalextric set will arrive around the release of the new Skyfall movie in October.

There will be a £119.99 Skyfall Set featuring an Aston Martin DB5 and Range Rover Vogue SE (1:32 scale), as well as five metres of track, a ramp section, chicane and crossover hazards.

There are also Aston Martin DB5 and Range Rover Vogue SE twin packs (£84.99), limited to 3,500 units. A Micro track set will also be available for £44.99, which comes with the Aston Martin DB5 and Black Aston Martin DBS cars.

Scalextric is a Hornby Hobbies brand.

Michael Tavares, licensing director at Danjaq LLC, said: “Skyfall is eagerly anticipated by 007 fans globally and contains all of the perfect ingredients to become one of the most highly acclaimed Bond movies in the franchise. We have developed a strong working partnership with Scalextric over several years now; developing best-in-class replica toys and models from the world of Bond.”
