Jakks Pacific has signed up to make plush toys based on Marvel Super Hero Squad – a new cartoon stylised brand extension which ties into the virtual world HeroUp.com.

The initial line up of soft toys will include collectables, clip-ons and large plush with ineractive online elements.

Similar to Jakks’ Club Penguin Puffles, which include codes to unlock virtual goods on clubpenguin.com, the Super Hero Squad plush will offer kids virtual items at heroup.com.

The licence also includes the rights to make games based on classic Marvel characters.
