With the 2012 United States Presidential election fast approaching Jakks Pacific has made a special set of presidential Cabbage Patch dolls to commemorate the occasion.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney and Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan are recreated as highly collectible Cabbage Patch Kids which will be available for auction on eBay.

The bidding starts on October 30th and Malibu-based toy maker Jakks will donate the proceeds to non-profit organisation Rock the Vote.

“The funds raised in this auction will help with new programs that continue to keep young Americans engaged, ensuring that their voices are part of our country’s democracy” stated Chrissy Faessen, VP of communications and marketing, Rock the Vote.

Although bidding on these Presidential Cabbage Patchers is still to begin, we think they’ll fetch a healthy sum.

Now who could be interested in buying them, we wonder?

Jakks relaunched Cabbage Patch Kids this summer.
