Jakks Pacific outlines fitness initiative with new products

Jakks Pacific is set to launch a new kids’ fitness initiative in 2017, with the introduction of the Little Mighty Gym line.

Designed to encourage active play, the collection of products will include physical and digital elements to help get kids aged from six to 12 moving.

“Over the past couple of generations, childhood obesity rates in America have tripled,” said Jack McGrath, COO of Jakks Pacific.

“The statistics are alarming and we feel strongly that Jakks can provide meaningful solutions to address this growing concern with the Little Mighty Gym products.”

Fitness products in the line-up include jump ropes, hoppers, yoga balls, bop bags, heavy bags and more.

The Little Mighty Gym app will boast four games with different levels of fitness activities.

McGrath added: “We know kids spend time gaming and our goal is to get kids moving while adapting to their gaming preferences.

“Little Mighty Gym challenges kids at their own pace resulting in a healthy lifestyle which can produce increased confidence, ability to perform better in school and sports, and feel happier all around.”
