International growth helps Jakks in Q3

Monsuno product line highlighted by president, as firm reveals figures for third quarter.

Jakks Pacific has reported results for its third quarter and first nine months ending September 30th, 2012.

President and CEO, Stephen Berman, said that the firm enjoyed better than expected growth from its international business, highlighting solid performances from Monsuno, Winx Club and Disney Princess.

Net sales for the third quarter were $314.5 million, compared to $332.4 million in the comparable period in 2011, while reported net income was $30.4 million (2011: $34.8 million).

Net sales for the nine months, meanwhile, stood at $533.3 million (2011: $536.7 million).

"We are in the midst of our Fall Toy Fair meetings with retailers, licensors and other industry partners and are excited by the enthusiastic response to our 2013 product line," said Berman.
