950,000 tune in to see the kids tablet computer; VTech is expecting a sales boost after the BBC2 appearance.

VTech's Innotab appeared alongside the Fisher Price Apptivity Case on Something for the Weekend last Sunday.

The show holds a weekly toys and gadgets segment, which was hosted by Lucy Hedges this weekend.

The show attracts an average audience of 950,000 every Sunday. As a result of the TV coverage VTech is expecting increased sales for the brand.

Clive Richardson, marketing director at VTech said: "This key piece of broadcast coverage is an excellent example of the hard-working, multi-discipline marketing campaign we have in place this year.

"Editorial coverage such as this, alongside our intensive advertising campaign helps to ensure strong sales in the lead up to the key Christmas period."
