To decide the winners of the 2011 Independent Toy Awards Toy Shop UK invited over 800 independent retailers to vote for their favourite toys in 15 categories.

The retailers did not pick from a shortlist and were free to vote for any toy.

Bigjigs won the top honour of Most Popular Supplier after its toys recieved more overall votes than any other supplier. The company also picked up the best Wooden toy award for its rail range.

Sam Ireland (pictured), operations manager at Bigjigs, said of the award: "To say we are over the moon would be an understatement. A big thank you to all the customers who voted for us."
