In the Night Garden "continues to out-perform both the market and our expectations," says Golden Bear

Golden Bear has claimed its In the Night Garden range "continues to out-perform both the market and our expectations."

The DHX Media brand finished 2014 fifthin a NPD report of the top pre-school licenses in value.

The toy firm's Ninky Nonk Musical Activity Train was the number two item amongst licensed pre-school product for 2014, despite going on sale eight months into the year.

In the Night Garden showed a growth of 92.8 per cent on the NPD report, bigger than any other pre-school licence in the top 15. 

Golden Bear meanwhile sold in excess of 65,000 units of the Ninky Nonk Musical Activity Train in six months and sales of its In The Night Garden licensed product increased by over 115 per cent YOY.

“It is testimony to the longevity and continuing appeal of the programme and the innovation within our range that we are still experiencing such exponential growth year on year.

We have also invested in a complete package re-design across the range to refresh and re-engage our offering and we will be supporting the range with more TV advertising than ever before.”
