The new series, entitled Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5, will feature CGI animation by Nelvana and Nerd Corps Entertainment, and will premiere in the autumn of 2009 in Canada on TELETOON in the network’s Sunday morning action block and on Cartoon Network in the US as part of its top-rated Saturday morning lineup.

"We are excited to work with some of the top names in the industry to bring Hot Wheels to the small screen," said Barry Waldo, Vice President of Worldwide Entertainment & Consumer Products, Mattel.

"Hot Wheels continues to be a top boys property year after year and the new series will deliver everything boys have loved about the brand – speed, power, performance and attitude – along with adrenaline-fueled action and new, never-before-seen vehicles and characters. This is an incredible milestone for the Hot Wheels brand."
