CPLG appointed the firm as the puzzles and games partner for the popular kids publishing and animation licence.

A 2x70-piece Horrid Henry puzzle will launch exclusively in Smyths in September 2009 while January 2010 will see the launch of a 100-piece Glow In The Dark puzzle and 2x50-piece puzzle assortment.

Commenting on the deal, Rebecca Burton, CPLG’s Category Manager for Toys and Gifts, said: "As one of the UK’s biggest puzzles and games manufacturers, Jumbo Games is a fantastic reflection of the significant growth of the Horrid Henry licensing programme in the UK. We are very excited to be working with Jumbo on a new and bespoke collection for next year, particularly following the company’s successes on other licensed product ranges."

Jumbo MD Gray Richmond, added: "Such is Horrid Henry’s popularity that the opportunity to produce some fantastic puzzles and games was irresistible. Horrid Henry is a fantastic brand and we are very excited to add him to our children’s portfolio."

This latest deal further strengthens CPLG’s UK licensing programme for Horrid Henry. Earlier this year Asylum Entertainment was appointed Horrid Henry’s video game partner and will be bringing games to the Nintendo DS and Wii for Christmas 2009.

To date, Abbey Home Media has sold over 500,000 units across all eight of its Henry DVD titles, including The Complete Collection, featuring all 52 episodes of the first series, which was released on 4th May 2009.

On 1st October, Orion Publishing will be releasing Horrid Henry Wakes The Dead, a brand new Horrid Henry story from Francesca Simon. Like last year’s Horrid Henry Robs The Bank, this new story is anticipated to hit the #1 spot in the Children’s Best-Seller charts.

CiTV’s most successful series ever, the TV ratings for Novel Entertainment’s Horrid Henry series continue to exceed all expectations while CiTV’s Horrid Henry interactive web games have attracted over eight million gameplays to date.
