Hasbro has revealed that Sir Crispin Davis will be joining the company’s board of directors as independent director.
Davis was previously the CEO of Reed Elsevier from 1999-2009, where he restructured the company and transformed the business into a print publisher to an online information provider.
In 2004 Davis was knighted for his services to the publishing and information services sector.
Brian Goldner, chairman, president and CEO at Hasbro, said: “Crispin is a highly accomplished media executive whose strategic vision and deep experience with international consumer markets make him a tremendous addition to Hasbro’s board of directors.
“We welcome him to our existing talented board.”
In addition, Davis previously held roles at Aegis Group as CEO and held the role as group MD at Guinness Plc.
Basil Anderson, lead independent director at Hasbro, added: “Crispin’s proven leadership and exceptional track record of successfully transforming a company while managing challenging global issues will be a valuable asset to Hasbro’s board.”
