Halsall's latest deal will see the firm further develop the distribution of Bandai’s brands across channels not directly serviced by the Bandai UK sales operation.

The deal follows the news that Halsall was added to Tomy's distribution network earlier this month.

Julian Boyers, managing director of Bandai UK, said: “With the loss of several important partners last year, we needed to look outside our current distribution channel to try and recover some of this lost business.

“Halsall are already well positioned to service these other channels. Our partnership is going to help drive the penetration of our brands in the UK and Eire market. We very much look forward to working with them.”

John Hutt, managing director, Halsall added: “I think it is fair to say everyone in the industry respects what Bandai do and we are very proud that they have asked us to represent their brands to our customer base. This is another endorsement of the dedication and hard work put in by our teams.

“Our account teams are already contacting customers but with hugely popular brands like Ben 10, Power Rangers, Pokémon and Tamagotchi; I’d urge all to get in touch ASAP.”
