The Good Toy Guide is teaming up with ToyNews for the launch of its new website this month.
ToyNews has been chosen as the official trade media partner for the site, in a deal which will see exclusive content from the Guide team appearing in the magazine from October.
This will cover sectors such as Outdoor, Classic, Best of British, Travel and Creative among others, highlighting different types of play and products and providing in-depth insight into the links between play and healthy child development.
The new site launches on September 11th, and also has deals in place with The Entertainer – which is the main online retail partner of the Good Toy Guide – and Toy Shop UK, which will be signposting local stockists.
Toy companies which have already had toys tested include Flair, Hasbro, Character Options, Ravensburger, Golden Bear, Drumond Park, VTech, Bandai and Mega Bloks among others.
"I'm delighted to have such an enthusiastic, committed trade media partner," said the Good Toy Guide's Amanda Gummer. "The approach of ToyNews and Intent Media fits really well with what we stand for. Their reputation in the toy industry will help give a new website such as this support and exposure, and in turn we'll be able to provide exclusive content for ToyNews readers that will be exciting and relevant."
Stuart Dinsey, publisher of ToyNews and MD of Intent Media, added: "This is a fantastic deal for both ToyNews and the Good Toy Guide. We have been championing the launch of the new site for the last few months, and see it has a valuable addition to the toy trade.
"We will be supporting the site through regular monthly coverage in our print magazine, as well as through our market leading website and social media platforms, Twitter and Facebook – all of which will help to get the message out there and encourage the industry to get involved."
