Golden Bear is set to launch a plush licensed range based on popular pre-school animated series Messy goes to Okido.

The range will land inA/W 2016, spanning soft toys, talking and feature plush based on the CBeebies show.

Messy goes to Okido originated from the original OKIDO magazine and depicts a host of colourful science-based adventures led by inquisitive monster Messy and his friends.

“The creativity and characterisation explored within the TV series has given us the opportunity to develop a themed plush range, which will enable children to bring the cute and curious Messy to life in tactile and huggable form” said Katherine Pierce, senior licensing and marketing manager at Golden Bear.

“With fantastic stories, engaging concepts and programme content, Messy goes to Okido will form a natural extension to our expanding portfolio for 2016”.

Jules Coke, CEO at Doodle Productions, added: “We've been truly taken aback by the audience reaction and ratings for Messy goes to Okido.

“We’re thrilled that Golden Bear will be bringing Messy to cuddly life. Forget the kids - everyone in the studio wants one too."
