Endemol has appointed Golden Bear as the exclusive master toy partner for Bananas in Pyjamas in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America (excluding Brazil).

The company will begin to roll out product from autumn 2012, including plush and plastic toys with the inclusion of electronic and mechanical devices.

"We are delighted to be appointed master toy licensee and once again will be producing the Bananas in Pyjamas range," said John Hales, chairman of Golden Bear Products. "The programme has taken on a fantastic new look since the original range was launched in the 1990s and we are looking forward to developing these delightful characters."

Cathy Payne, chief executive of Endemol Worldwide Distribution, added: "The UK television audience has quickly embraced the new look and feel of B1 and B2 and their friends from Cuddlestown.

"We look forward to seeing similar reactions around Europe and working with our partners at Golden Bear, Endemol Worldwide Brands and Cartoon Network/Turner International to enjoy similar success in product roll out."

The new CGI Bananas in Pyjamas series premiered in the UK on Channel 5 and Cartoonito in July. Turner CN Enterprises will be launching it throughout EMEA from this month.
